The Ojo de Dios or God's eye is a beautiful ritual object that is used by indigenous people of northern and western Mexico for protection while they pray. It is a magical artwork, and an ancient cultural symbol evoking the cardinal directions and their spiritual associations for the Huichol (Wixáritari) and Tepehuan Indians of western Mexico.
Join Nicoletta Rubino for a creative afternoon learning to craft the Ojo de Dios. Make a 4-quarter God's Eye on Saturday, April 4, and reach a little further into an 8-fold Mandala building on the skills you have learned at the next workshop on Saturday, April 11.
