Abbie Righetti
has been enjoying practicing yoga for the past 20 years. She loves the way that yoga (especially the breath) connects us with the present moment, allowing us to slow down, soften and remember our connection to all beings. Abbie's classes are open to pure beginners, as well as more advanced students who want a slower paced class. Her sequences are designed to be gentle yet strengthening with a focus on breath and safe alignment. She believes that yoga is for every body and makes her classes accessible for all, leaving students feeling nurtured and refreshed.
Abbie teaches a heart-centered, alignment-based flow and encourages students to trust and honor the wisdom of their bodies. She cares deeply about the safety and well-being of her students and her sequences are designed with sustainability and the goal of a healthy, life-long practice in mind.

You can count on her classes to be nourishing, strengthening and supportive, with modifications provided for all levels present. She especially loves teaching breath-work (pranayama) and meditation and winds down her classes with nurturing restorative yoga, always reminding students of the deeply healing benefits of rest.
With her desire to start a family with her husband and her strong background in Women's Studies, Abbie found herself particularly drawn to study Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga. In 2016 she completed her Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training at Mount Madonna Center and now truly loves sharing this sacred practice with mamas and babies.

Abbie loves learning and will forever be a student. She constantly immerses herself in trainings and practices various styles of yoga and fitness to keep her teachings fresh, innovative and inspired.
Abbie was born and raised in Santa Cruz, and loves sharing the joy of yoga all around her hometown, from gyms, golf courses and yoga studios to maternity homes, homeless gardens, corporate offices, counseling/treatment centers and beautiful beaches around Santa Cruz county.
Abbie completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with Mark Stephens Yoga and her Advanced 500 hour YTT with Hannah Muse and Kenny Graham (Roots of Yoga). She is currently assisting Hannah Muse and Kenny Graham with their 200 hour YTT and thoroughly enjoys assisting the Pre/Postnatal YTT at Mount Madonna. She is grateful to all of her teachers, and especially to Hannah Muse, who's heartfelt teachings have provided her deep peace and inspiration.

Abbie is proud and excited to be part of the Watsonville Yoga Dance and Healing Arts team and hopes to connect with you soon on the mat :)
