Johanna Fenton
has been teaching and training in Worldanz for over 5 years. She graduated from UCSC in 2011, and shortly after became the first teacher trained by Gina Garcia. In 2012, she traveled to the south of Spain to teach and spread the word about Worldanz, and while there studied and performed with Pranadanza, an African and Middle Eastern dance troupe.
Now back in Santa Cruz and continuing to teach Worldanz, Johanna continues her studies in dance, exploring the forms of Afro-Haitian, Dancehall, Aerial Arts and Circus Acrobatics. She recently completed a 2 month full time training program in Aerial Straps in Guadalajara, Mexico, and was a featured aerial and dance performer at Envision festival in Costa Rica along with her performance group, Aeraflux. Teaching and performing are two of her greatest passions, and she hopes to continue spreading Worldanz to her community for much more time to come.
